A quick hello and raison d'être...

WELCOME

Welcome to The Daily Dawg. A frequent and hopefully daily conversation on Georgia Athletics, heavily emphasizing UGA Football.

I’m a life-time fan and alum who’s been having these conversations with friends, instant friends, and family for years. I also have a passion for writing, speaking, entertaining, and sharing great stories.

When I was a student at UGA, people always asked me what I planned to do with my History degree, to which I impertinently replied; “Hang it on the wall.” I did just that and pursued a more pragmatic career in business rather than follow the circuitous passions of a writer and storyteller. But as that degree hangs daily over my shoulder, it serves as a reminder that I always had a passion to dig deep into topics and share my observations.

The Daily Dawg promises to be a great opportunity to combine my love of sports, specifically UGA Athletics, and sharing those observations with an interested audience. I hope you enjoy the conversation.

WHY A CONVERSATION?

Journalists and beat writers are doing great work bringing us details from their special access. The resources allocated to canvassing high school football nationwide for the latest recruiting buzz are amazing. Hot takes and articles detailing topics such as who’s emerging on D-line are vital. But how do you process all that information? When and where do you get to just talk about it?

My goal is to make this space for that daily Dawg-centric conversation. This will be a place where Bulldogs can just enjoy a little deep dive on the state of the Dawgs with a fellow rabid Dawg fan.
