Kirby Smart delivered one of the most memorable performances as a coach I can ever remember. How often do you really remember anything about what the coach did in the game, unless of course it was something really bad?
We’ve heard Kirby say over and over that he wants Georgia to be the best-conditioned team on the field so that they can own the 4th quarter. To that end, Georgia has outscored opponents 80-34 in the 4th quarter this season after beating Texas 21-0 in the 4th. Further, 21 of those 34 opponents’ 4th quarter points were garbage time TDs against Georgia bench players after the game was no longer in doubt.
That means opponents have only scored 13 total points in the 4th quarter this season with the game on the line!
