Show Highlights:
What a weird Saturday in Athens! I don’t know that I have ever been to one like it.
On the way to the game, I find out suddenly that I have no time to wander the tailgate scene, but I better hurry if I want to get there before the game starts. Then, stoking many Dawg fans’ worst fears, we go out there and make the Governors of Austin Peay look like something more than a tiny team from a tiny conference. Meanwhile, the rest of the top 25 seems to be beating their hired opponents into the turf.
Then we have a nearly 2-hour storm delay. We essentially, including warm-ups and all, got to see two short games separated by a long delay and some heavy rain.
But how did the Dawgs do? Well, they didn’t meet most of our expectations. But let’s break it down and see what we can glean from the experience…
