The 2026 college football season is finally here! Week 0 kicked off last week, and Week 1 is underway, having begun with a thrilling Thursday night game. Georgia Tech hosted Colorado at Bobby Dodd Stadium and largely had the national stage all to themselves. They, however, lost and lost much of the momentum they gained from opening wins in the recent seasons.
The Georgia Bulldogs will take the field on Saturday, September 5th, against the Tennessee State Tigers.
This will be the first-ever matchup between Georgia and Tennessee State.
While the game may not be highly competitive, we’re all excited to see the Bulldogs on the field for the first time this season.
We’re hoping for stellar performances from returning starters like Gunner Stockton and Lawson Lucky. We may have the best and one of the most experienced offensive lines in the country, and hopefully, they will show no mercy and shove around a team that doesn’t have the players to compete with Georgia.
Whose catching passes might be the biggest area of interest and concern for Bulldog fans this year. The wide receiver group could be inconsistent despite available talent, but most feel Georgia’s biggest difficulty will be getting all our tight ends on the field and touching the ball enough to be happy and make a difference on the scoreboard.
Are the Dawgs poised to be title contenders in 2026? Are they competing for the SEC, National Championship, or both? Is winning one or both of those the minimum requirement for this season? What defines a successful season at this point for the Georgia Bulldogs?
