The Deep South’s Oldest Rivalry. Georgia v. Auburn is one of the oldest rivalries in all of college football and American sports for that matter. Tomorrow’s game will mark the 130th game in the series.
Georgia holds a 65-56-8 lead in the all-time series with Auburn and has won the last 8 in a row.
Some Georgia fans may be starting to think of the Auburn game as just another SEC game, but they are a long-time fierce rival, not just another game and never should be taken lightly when playing on “The Plains” at night.
Let’s begin our focus on Auburn with a little look back through recent history with our cousins from the state next door…
